Bruce K. Nelson served as Vice President for Instruction from 1956 to 1976. Over those years EMU's student population grew from 2,500 to 19,965. Bruce has always been committed to excellence in teaching and instruction; during his long service he recruited faculty who shared his commitment and goals.
